SYNOPSIS:

Tessa Gray should be happy—aren’t all brides happy? Yet as she prepares for her wedding, a net of shadows begins to tighten around the Shadowhunters of the London Institute. A new demon appears, one linked by blood and secrecy to Mortmain, the man who plans to use his army of pitiless automatons, the Infernal Devices, to destroy the Shadowhunters. Mortmain needs only one last item to complete his plan. He needs Tessa. And Jem and Will, the boys who lay equal claim to Tessa’s heart, will do anything to save her.

REVIEW:

Can’t even express how much this book and the all story involved me. Clare’s has reconfirmed me that she has the great power to make you feel involved, but this time in “The Infernal Devices” she do impressed me. The epilogue such as the final chapter was touching. I have to admit that this book was the one where I think I most laughed and cried during the reading.

From the first pages and chapter, you know that Mortmain will return, he’s not somewhere knitting by the fire, even if you know his intentions, you can’t even imagine how all will work. I don’t want to spoil anyone, so I’ll keep with me the many times I was thrilled and the one where I feel sad.

Characters are weel constructed and in the Clockwork Princess, they grew up in a sense I couldn’t even imagine.

Full of emotions, that will turn you upside down. From hard laughing you will cry and grieve over. Neverthless the rollercoaster of emotions, the final chapter will bring to an end of this absorbing novel. I left the last pages with a little of bitterness. Not because I didn’t enjoy the end, but it has been very difficult to come there and have the knowledge that tomorrow I’m not going to read about the London Institute, about Tessa, Will and Jem, about Sophie,Cecily,Gideon,Gabriel, Charlotte and Henry and all their adventures, shadowhunting and love. I’ll re- read it, I’m sure.

“At least, the wheel comes full circle.”

THE AUTHOR:

Cassandra Clare (real name Judy Rumelt) was born to American parents in Tehran, Iran in July 27, 1973. As a child she travelled frequently around the world, always with lots of books in the suitcase. She returned to Los Angeles for high school, and from then on split her time between California and New York, where she worked at various entertainment magazines and tabloids. City of Bones was her first novel, published in 2007. Cassie hates working at home alone because she always gets distracted by reality TV shows and the antics of her two cats, so she usually sets out to write in local coffee shops and restaurants.
